January 4 – Standing Poses & Determination

Standing Poses will to strengthen and steady your legs while keeping them flexible and agile. The power of these beautiful poses creates ease for walking and standing with grace. Determination and discipline for your yoga practice will also guide you to fulfill your desires and resolutions for the New Year.

January 11 – Backbends & Self-Study

Arising from a grounded lower body, you’ll lift and open your body. Backbends strengthen your back and give a feeling of lightness to your heart. Practicing these exhilarating poses takes courage. With self-knowledge and self-appreciation, you’ll arch back while respecting your limitations to find the infiniteness of yoga at each step along the way.

January 18 – Forward Bends & Non-Violence

Forward Bends can massage the heart, the spinal column and the abdominal organs if done in a peaceful way. Often we’re urged to aggressively push ourselves deeper in these poses and that doesn’t feel good. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. we’ll approach forward bends with Non-Violence leaving you with a clear, calm frame of mind.

January 25 – Restorative & Contentment

You’ll move, you’ll stretch. Then find your own inner sanctuary of tranquility using Mudra and Restorative Yoga. Cherish some precious moments of contentment.

Take a makeup class on Friday 9:30 am or Sunday 10:00 am during the month of January.
