My Resume: Eclectic Studies and Practice

My teaching draws on many years of eclectic studies and practice so that I can give my students a well-rounded experience of yoga, movement, strength, mobility, balance, and relaxation.

  • Compassion

I’ve actually needed this work myself and have studied multiple disciplines in order to feel ok because I started off in life feeling awkward and unhappy about my body. Do you relate to this?

Today I absolutely love continuing education and long to better understand how to communicate and share all this with you.

I renew my certifications every two years since 1991 and each time I totally dread it since it’s such a detailed petition process (I don’t take the kinds of courses that can be applied automatically.) In September, I renewed two certifications –  the ACE Certified Medical Exercise Specialist and the IAYT Certified Yoga Therapist – and added my most recent CEC’s (Continuing Education Credits) to my resume. Now that it’s done, I’m good for another two years (CPR/AED renewal too). Phew!

It also feels like time for me to open the door to explore new possibilities so I just applied for a Yoga Teacher position at MindfulNYU. I emailed my updated resume, which you can see here.
